The beauty pages of this blog are very important to me. I have struggled with my skin since I was in my teens. It’s something I have always put a lot of time and effort into from weekly face masks, right the way through to chemical peels and continues to be something I put a lot of effort into. Part of me does enjoy having a reason to indulge in new products & treatments and I just love it when a new potion makes a big difference to my skin.
For me, beauty isn’t about the perceived perfection that is promoted through extreme plastic surgery, but from working on what we have and the amazing treatments out there that can enhance what we have rather than trying to look like someone else.
Loving how we look isn’t easy when you only have to pick up a magazine to be shown programs and articles which tell us that natural isn’t good enough, rather than reminding us that we are unique and our imperfections are what make us beautiful.
Now I am certainly not saying we should all flop around with un-styled hair, or zero make up. Looking neglected is good for no one! What I am saying though, is we are all beautiful. Just as we are. There is always time for a slick of lip gloss or a spritz of good perfume on our off-days to make us feel a little more foxy.
” . . . we are unique and our imperfections are what make us beautiful . . . “
Whether you have thin lips or plump, thick hair or fine, you are all wonderfully unique and I for one think you should start to love that about yourself. Find looks you feel comfortable with, everyday minimal to daytime glamour, understated evening chic to full-on contoured face. It doesn’t matter what looks you are into, as long as you like what you see and love that you look like you.
My beauty pages will showcase products and treatments that enhance and give a wonderful boost to you and your confidence.
Pampering is a big deal and we should all take the time to indulge ourselves. The sooner we feel more attractive, the sooner our confidence will rocket!
